Hello all,
I'm a COMPLETE newbie to *unix systems, but me being a programmer, I figured I better learn something other than Microcult Winblows. So I downloaded RH9, and installedit.
Computer Specs:
Compaq S4500NX (A.K.A. Comcrap)
nForce 2 (chipset)
AMD 3000+ (Only good thing on the motherboard)
1 gig PC2700 DDR (woot)
nVidia GeForce 4 IGP (integrated)
2x 120gb HD's (Maxtor)
First problem,
I was unable to get the integrated Ethernet card to work.
First solution, buy new NIC card. (worked)
Second problem,
I was unable to get the sound to work.
Second solution, buy new sound card.
I bought an Audigy 2 NX (USB) and I cannot find drivers for RH9. Any suggestions? Creative labs does not have drivers for linux systems... So here I am.
Please keep in mind, I'm a newbie to Linux.

Gosh, this is a tough one for me.. Soundblaster usually works real well with Linux, but you'll have to tell me more about the usb part. What does that mean exactly?
Hi,
I bought one, too. It's not really working yet.
I am collecting information to get it working on my homepage, http://nix.bockb.de
Please watch out for more information there or tell me if you found something usefull that's not on the page yet.

it blows that creative doesnt have linux drivers
maybe its also the fact that its a usb that might be the main issue
