Updating XFree
This is a discussion about Updating XFree in the Linux Software category; Greetings , Who has not enough knowledge of up and stuff and in general with linux i suggest not to try up XFree , at least he/she could try with rpm from his/her distro which is more safe that way , otherwise you get changes such as /etc/inittab switching init 5 to init 3 , fonts , mouse cursors and other boot rel ...

Who has not enough knowledge of up[censored] and stuff and in general with linux i suggest not to
try up[censored] XFree , at least he/she could try with rpm from his/her distro which is more safe
that way , otherwise you get changes such as /etc/inittab switching init 5 to init 3 , fonts , mouse cursors and other boot related things.
As a matter of fact you could try get the xfree that suits you and when you 'sh Xinstall.sh' guides you through the installation and tries to make it easier by proposing the more suitable selection.
Take your pick , i leave it to you ...
At least make backups X11-X11R6 and give it a try , a try worths it
