SGI 1600SW monitor

Did you run XFdrake? Is your monitor and card not listed? Did you try the different versions of Xfree86?

I did run XFdrake and selected dozens of monitors / graphic cards. The SGI 1600Sw is listet and so is the graphic card but no luck. Any other suggestions?

Well then, that really sux. You'd think that if both were listed and you chose them you'd get a screen. Hmmm. Is it giving you a particular error? if so what is it? If not, tell us exactly what does, (or does not) happen when you boot up.
