sftp'ing using gftp

i've been trying to use gftp without success.
the only thing i've done was changing the setting from "FTP" to "SSH2"
i try to connect using "sftp://username@servernameblablabla"
i get this error: "could not parse URL"
anyone know how to properly set up gftp for sftp'ing?
