problem with TORCS

This is a discussion about problem with TORCS in the Linux Games category; I installed TORCS using RPMs and i installed the game data , tracks and robots packages. However, whenever i start the game and select a race, the game shuts down automatically and i get this error msg on the console.

I installed TORCS using RPMs and i installed the game data , tracks and robots packages. However, whenever i start the game and select a race, the game shuts down automatically and i get this error msg on the console.

No driver for that race...

hmm.. I'll guess one of the important files is either missing or 0 bytes.
Could be a file permissions problem..

If "rpm --verify -p name-of-torcs-rpm-file" seems to be happy with the install, then
(if the listing isn't HUGE) would you provide the
"rpm --query --list --verbose -p name-of-torcs-rpm-file" output?
