This is a discussion about new to linux, I need hardware help. in the Linux Hardware category; hi, My church is redoing it's computer system, and we are getting a linux based server. I am completely new to this, and havent a clue whether or not some of this is relevent. Could somone/someones please tell me which or if all of these hardware components are compatible with Red Hat 9.

Motherboard- Gigabyte 7n400pro-2 Nforce2
Processor- AMD Athalon XP 2700
Memory- 2- 256mb DDR(333)2700 Copper OCZ
Hard Drive- 2- SATA Seagate 80 GB Barracuda 7200 RPM
RAID 1
Cd-RW- ASUS CRW-5224A 52*24*52 CD-RW IDE FlextraLink
Floppy- Mitsumi 3.5
Video Card- MSI G4 MX440 T8x 64MB AGP TV-Out

The only thing I would be worried about is SATA drives. I'm a Debian user so I'm not sure what RedHat has done to support these drives. You may want to do some google searches on SATA support in linux.
