Mount Rainer

This is a discussion about Mount Rainer in the Linux Hardware category; I just recently bought Teac CD-W540E which has hardware support for Mount Rainer format. What do I need to use Mount Rainer functions in Linux? Newes kernel? Some special software? Both? I hope you can help as Mount Rainer is a very cool thing and you can really use CD-RWs just like floppy.
