md5

This is a discussion about md5 in the Everything Linux category; does any one know how to check my downloaded iso using the md5sum file??? because i downloaded a mandrake 10. 0 and it had many package errors, my cd just got wasted for nothing. .

this document at linuxiso.org should help..
 
It's entitled "How To Check MD5sums On A Linux Iso Image", and provides
links for DOS and Windows versions of md5sum if you're not yet linux-enabled.
