Mandrake 10.1 alpha wont load after install

This is a discussion about Mandrake 10.1 alpha wont load after install in the Linux Software category; After installing mandrake 10. 1 while trying to load KDE the monitor flickers and eventually goes to login. Install did went ok anyone else had problems. .

System boot is OK, text-mode is OK, but no GUI (X Windows) ..
do I have that right?

or do you mean: System boot is OK, screen flickers for a bit, then the GUI login appears?
