So i'm running mandrake 9 now and i want to upgrade to 10. I download the 3 iso's and made cd's in Nero. I take the first cd,put it in, reboot, set BIOS to boot to my cdrom, reboot, and the mandrake install never pops up, it just boots to 9 like normal. I tried burning just the boot iso to a cd and doing it that way but that doesn't work either. I have a feeling i am just missing something simple. Any ideas?

And you checked again to make sure your BIOS is set to boot cdrom first? There's a few posts here about booting problems with Mdk 10. Check out some of those, or danleff is really familiar with this subject if you want to ask him.

Mandrake 10, disk 2 also is bootable and will boot on machines that
disk 1 will not boot on.
Try booting with disk 2,that should get you going.
I have 3 machines to play with, one will work with disk 1 or disk 2,
one will will only boot with disk 1 and one will only boot with
disk 2.

Disk two, if it works, will boot the system, then prompt you for an install disk (claim disk 2 is not an install disk). Before clicking to continue, place disk 1 in the drom and continue.
