Linux Installation Guide with SaTa

This is a discussion about Linux Installation Guide with SaTa in the Everything Linux category; ( hello i'm newbie who wanted to trying using Linux. i'm using Maxtor Sata now. First i had enable my BIOS SaTa option and my boot sequence. now when i'm started to install linux fedora it tell me that my HDD device not found.

hello i'm newbie who wanted to trying using Linux.
i'm using Maxtor Sata now.First i had enable my BIOS SaTa option and my boot sequence.
 
now when i'm started to install linux fedora it tell me that my HDD device not found.So what should i do only can detect my sata? i had only this HDD.
 
Please help me out.

If Fedora's installation kernel won't detect your SATA controller then there's not an awful lot you can do except look for another distro with support for your controller built into its installation kernel. It would help if we knew what sort of board (and therefore controller) we were dealing with as that way we could steer you in the direction of a distro that would most likely support it.
