lilo boot probs
This is a discussion about lilo boot probs in the Everything Linux category; k i've put linux on an old p100 for use as a cheap webserver. Anyways, i put mandrake 9 on and when it boots it goes to load lilo(bootloader) and it just displays a crap load of the number 40. then crashes the computer.
k i've put linux on an old p100 for use as a cheap webserver. Anyways, i put mandrake 9 on and when it boots it goes to load lilo(bootloader) and it just displays a crap load of the number 40. then crashes the computer.
I'm able to get it boot with a bootdisk however its pretty slow when off the disk.
anyways, anyone have any ideas how to fix this or even just have it boot linux directly with no bootloader?
And yes i know its a slow comp to begin with, but why make it any slower right?

Where did you install lilo?
Are you dual booting? If so, what other OS do you have?
