help with X

This is a discussion about help with X in the Everything Linux category; iam using rh9. my x server used to work just fine and then one day for apparently no reason at all the x server failed to start. now i can only log in in text mode i checked the x configuration file.

i use intel celeron
monitor is lg studioworks, which red hat recognised correctly and there was no problem.
initaky it used to work fine for two months then suddenly for no rhyme or reason the xserver failed to initialise.

type startx at the prompt after you log in...then tell us what happens
