Fedora Core 4 + Aurora 5500 box = suffering

This is a discussion about Fedora Core 4 + Aurora 5500 box = suffering in the Everything Linux category; Big fan of both Alienware and FC4. So I tried to put them together and am having some problems. I can install it fine (in text mode only). But then when it gets to start up it splashes the little loading task bar on the screen.

Big fan of both Alienware and FC4. So I tried to put them together and am having some problems. I can install it fine (in text mode only). But then when it gets to start up it splashes the little loading task bar on the screen .. and then completely stops. No Indications of any kind. No logs to speak off .. nada.

Here is the rig specs .. anyhelp is appreciated :

ASUS A8N-SLI NFORCE 4MB MOTHERBOARD
ATHELON 64 3500 E 512KB PROCESSOR
PDP 512MB DDR MEMORY
DEKSTAR 160GB SATA DRIVE
NVIDIA GEFORCE 6600LE 128MB CARD

Did you install the 64 bit version of FC4?
