DSL on Lexar Jumpdrive
This is a discussion about DSL on Lexar Jumpdrive in the Linux Hardware category; Hi all! I am attempting to install DSL on a Lexar Jumpdrive. I have run the live cd, went thru the menu to the point of the shell opening, and it asks the location (example sda ). In Fedora, when the Jumpdrive is mounted, it is sdf1, on this system (I looked in the hardware browser).
Hi all!

I have run the live cd, went thru the menu to the point of the shell opening, and it asks the location (example sda ). In Fedora, when the Jumpdrive is mounted, it is sdf1, on this system (I looked in the "hardware browser"). I tried sdf1 on the dsl live cd, and that was no good. Does anyone know how, when running the live cd (DSL), I can find out the location of the Jumpdrive? Again, the example would be sda, sdb, ???
Thanks in advance

Try running the command in a console window;
fdisk -l(the letter l)
fdisk -l(the letter l)
I'm planning to try this same deal real soon, so I'll be anxious to hear how it works!

OP
The fdisk -l command did work, but the install to the jumpdrive of dsl did not. I did however, after formating the jumpdrive to fat32, install Puppy Linux on it.

danleff has championed Puppy for a long time, and after playing around with it, I have to agree... Puppy rocks! They are doing a lot of very interesting things over there...
