anybody had successfully setup Intel Pro/Wireless 2100?

This is a discussion about anybody had successfully setup Intel Pro/Wireless 2100? in the Linux Hardware category; MiniPCI Card on Linux?i had encountered so many problems. . . . I had saw a article about use wlan minipci card based on atheros's chip. but dont find anybody run Intel 2100 Wifi successfully on linux yet.

Yup! Got it working, using it on my HP/Compaq nc6000
 
go to http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net
and follow the instructions.
You'll need the driver and firmware.
Of course you'll need the wireless tools for linux.
It's included in almost every distro.

Ahh...just what I wa looking for on yea ol' laptop! Does not work on kernel 2.4 series!
 
I'll have to try this out. If it works, I owe FredL2 one!
