Works fine with Mandrake 9.0. It is a SCSI scanner. I used XSane or KDE Kooka to scane. OCR did not work because UMAX does not have software for Linux. Configuration was done via Mandrake Configuration Console/Hardware/Scanner. Easy and not problems.
