hey guys, can you help me? i want to install linux 9 on my pc but linux cant recognize my hd, i used 2 run linux on an ide hd and i can install it but i switched to sata now and it says no harddrive.

has anyone tried to install Eclipse on Linux? i'm running RedHat 9 and have downloaded and installed the java 1. 3. 1_08 sdk and have downloaded and unzipped the 2. 1 build of Eclipse - an IDE for Java and, apparently, c and c++.

Looking for a DVD compression and ripping program

In WinXP, I use a DVD ripping program that'll not only make a copy but compress a Disk-9 to a Disk-5 single layer with very little image quality loss. Does anyone know of a Linux program that'll do that? Thanks.

Here is a help for whoever. Epson Stylus Color 740 works with Ubuntu 8. 10 My setup is a bit under-powered,but it works a bit slow. My proc. is a 700Mhz Coppermine with 378Mb Ram. Also the printer works with gOS3, and Mint 5.

I want to share my experience of making my computer to have quad boot using Windows XP, Vista, Ubuntu and Fedora. I have a 160GB HDD which I divided into several partitions. First, I install Windows XP on 30GB partition, and then I install Windows Vista on 100GB partition, followed by Ubuntu 8.

Hi before i start im a compleate novice with computers and os so linex is tottaly new to me. i installed the linex os no problems there but in the window were u chose the manual network config i only seem to have the wired connection option that dosent work and the the point to point connection option.

Hi, I have a strange problem with eaccelerator. I recognized that eaccelerator dooes not start again. Even after installing it again it do not run. When calling phpinfo() I can see that the. ini-file is parsed, but it do not run.
