Hello, I'm very new to Linux I just set up a dual boot xp/Mandrake 10 on my new Compaq Presario R3000T notebook. I've got most everything working with mandrake so far, but haven't been able to get online.

IRQ#10 disabled after successful ndiswrapper wireless launch

Hi, I am new to Linux. I am running Suse 9. 2 Using GN-WPKG wireless card with an RT2500 chip in NdisWrapper against a Linksys 802. 11 b/g router, I got my internet connection configured. But about 40 to 50 minutes in, I get a message that says IRQ#10 is being disabled.

Hi Ive just gone and got my self a 1gig usb2. 0 pen drive how do i get this to work in mandrake 10. 1 when i plug it in comes up with some message saying disabling irq 13 or something all so when i have it pluged in on boot up it stops on the detecing hardware bit and dosent move on!! and when i goto control centre ...

Yes, but how does the water look in Age of Mythology? On my setup the water all but disappears, ealier drivers render the graphics properly. Anyone else?.

Hello. Just started using Linux for the first time with Fedora Core 3 x86_64. I have a Netgear WG311T PCI adapter, and am trying to get the wireless networking functional with the MadWiFi drivers. I am pretty much stuck at the part of what file do I need to download and from where.

Mandrake 10 and K3b cd burning SW

Hi all, I intalled Mandrake 10 on a AMD clone K3b from the Mandrake distribution CDs and it can burn CD fine. However, K3b cannot read any CDs from the burner, it keeps complaining about Illegal URI.

hi i read somewhere before about how linux dose not suport 'win modems' so i want to buy a 56k modem for my laptop. i found one for about $80 a pcmcia modem and am wanting to know if any of the pcmcia modems are 'win modems' or what the story is.

After a bit of a nightmare installing suse 9. 2 yesterday I was a bit miffed to find there was no p2p software as in 9. 1. However i came across post of someone asking how to install LimeWire which said cd into the directory you downloaded the limewire.

how do i put a password on grub after i completed installing linux?? if i have a dualboot system a linux and windows and i place a password on grub, if the user cannot provide the right password does it mean that he cannot use even the windows os???

originally i was running sun java desktop, which i'm pretty sure is suse 9. 0 with a purple paintjob. any way i was dual booting just fine, and then windows attacked. I was helping a friend out with a senior project, ended up having to download SP2 to get this wireless stuff to work.

Just started using Linux (Debian)- I now have it on 3 systems. Per advice here, I got an Actiontec External modem. I am using an Earthlink dialin number that supports V92, but at connect time V44 is not started.
