Kernel Panic?

I tryed up fedora, redhat 9. 0, and redhat 8. 0 to 2. 6 but whenever i did it, after the grub it came to kernel panic i followed the steps Quote:1. download kernel source. tar. gz or. tar. bz2 format from for example there will be file like linux-2.

Hi All,i keep getting booted,freezing and actually had a modem fried the other day,i think i have some one who has targeted me for some reason,im wondering if there is a program out there that i can get to stop people from pinging me or booting me in what ever other ways there are out there lol.

Help with tilting/freezing Mandrake CE10.1

Hi! We're totally new with Linux and seem to have a major problem. Our PC is 800Mhz, 256+128RAM and 6+20GB harddisk. First the system just tilted while trying to configure system under KDE, then we changed Matrox display card for Diamond Viper and added a processor fan.

Time scaling on eax settings of creative player

I am using time scaling on the eax settings to practice transcribing music that is to fast for me to play until I get it down. Everytime I stop the song the eax settings turn off and I have to reset them again.

hey everyone. i need some help and advice on something. i have winex 3. 3 i think the version is anyways its installed and it installs games just fine. i have one problem. . . . . . when i run winex3 for call of duty the install runs and it starts to install the first disk.

Radeon X800 XT PE with Fedora Core 2 x86-64

Hey all I just recently tried to install FC2 64 on an old hard drive of mine so I could play around and see what it was like, and the first problem is that whenever an X-Windows area needs to be open, the install freezes and the screen goes blank (doesn't power off but stays black).

2 speakers at one time

Hi i was wondering if i could hook up to sets of speakers to my desktop. . I have 6 speaker plugs in the back but whenever i hook 2 up it will only let one play. . my sound card is a SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio.

converting excel file to text file in unix

I am currently using an unix environment. i need to convert excel file into text file as i don't think pl/sql can read excel file. Is it possible to convert it into. txt format? as my job are mainly for batch processing thus i hope it to be with little or no manual work done.
