I need to steal some more space from my windows XP partition, Can I do this from with in linux? I tryed to use partition magic in windows but ever since I installed Linux, Partition magic has had issues with the hard disk.

disc4 mandrake 10.0

when i installl mandrake it asked me for the 4th disk!!! but i dont have one so i only installed up to 3 disk only when i boot to linux i dont get any gui, how can i use mandrake in gui mode not in console mode???

For now Im stick with Mepis 2003. 10 because I cant install Driverloader on Mepis 2004 its ask for the Kernel Sources I downloaded them and still asking for files inside it. If someone solve this problem, please let me know.

Hey there, I am a newbie, and I just installed and made my computer a dual boot. What I am trying to do is get a driver installed for my desktop PC ( the nVidia drivers). I never used Linux in my entire life but I am now learning it in school and it is blowing me away at how awsome it is.

dual boot with lilo on sata/ide drive

Hi, i had some problems installing 10ce on a dual sata hd, but i finally got it to install properly using an ide drive. The problem i am having now is that the boot is on the sata hardrive (the same drive xp is on) and i can't boot into xp.

I know that a someone has posted there sound based problem with there A7N8X Deluxe, but I am having problem with the -E version; My gigabit (and the 10/100 port) are not working. When I looked at ifconfig, I only saw the lo device.

weird RPM problem

Many times when i download an rpm from freshrpms. net or rpmfind. net like firefox and mplayer, the installation window comes up for a few seconds and then it disppears. How can i fix it?.
