I was trying to add something to my start menu and accidently hit the remove application menu. I have the menu back but it does not look the same. Can someone please tell me how to restore the menu to the wat it was before? I feel pretty stupid right about now!! LOL Also the Icon for it is different.

im just chock full of problems aint i anywho i cant seem to get up dates sometimes it will say uprim is not activated, sometimes it will get them all in 10 secs when i refresh list their still there, and sometimes the computer will just power down quite interesting actually up err.

as soon as I start installing linux red hat 9 the installation starts but the TFT monitor stats flashing and gives white lines. when I try installing mandrake 9. 1 it block coping files into system and I have tu unplug battery to restart the system.
Fedora Core 1 doesn't see my lan card.

I tried to set it up with Network configuration wizard (if thats how its called), but it just says that it can't find the device, its not even in the list so i picked the named closest to how mine is called.

I just installed the latest Mepis beta with the 2. 6. 4 kernel and it really kicks butt. Still need a little more tweeking, but, On my system everything works, it's entirely stable, and it really flys! I have KDE, Gnome, and iceWM all running nicely.

I have a few games for linux that were given to me and the system requirements say kernel 2. 2. x I am running Mandrake 10 which I believe is kernel 2. 6. x. Can anyone tell me if this will be a problem? The software titles are Simcity 3000, Rune, Kohan, and Soldier of fortune.

Does anyone know of some good programs to use for converting AVI movies to MPEG for VCD and SVCD? And splitting and joining them as well. I am running Mandrake 10 and hoping to use KB3 to do the burning unless anyone knows of a eason not to or knows of something better to use.

Here is my prob. . . I am running a dual boot system. . . Win2K Pro and Linux Mandrake 9. 1. I am using Linux's boot manager. I had a problem installing Linux the first time so I re-installed again and now there are duplicate listings in the boot manager.

I'm trying out Fedora Core1 but somehow i have problems in configuring the internet connection. The OS can identify my ethernet network card (3com EtherLink PCI TPO NIC 3C900B-TPO) but could not activate it.
