live linux with roaring penguin

hi everyone, I want to connect to the internet using an adsl modem and bell sympatico adsl internet software to connect. Therefore, I cannot connect to thew internet using many live cds, do you know of any that come with roaring penguin, or any other adsl connection software? thx.

alright, i am at the sourcefourge page right now trying to decide what to download, i have Redhat Linux 9 so when i scroll down to that section there are about 20 files to download. . . i am guessing that i just download all of them and burn it to a cd? or install straight from linux.

Floppy to boot from CD?

Hi all, i always used windows, but thinking on linux, so i got Knoppix as a start (not to change paritions, install, etc). i have bios set to boot from floopy, hd, then CD, and i leave linux cd always in these days.

Dual booting on Grub with two harddisk

I have two hard drives in my computer. The 40GB has Windows 2k on it. The 4GB has RedHat Linux 9 Kernel 2. 4. 20-8 installed on it with GRUB on the Master Boot Record (MBR) and that hard drive has the jumper set as the Master.

Trouble with Mandrake

Hello there, I've just installed Mandrake, with no problems whatsoever. However, every time i try to boot linux, it reads 'finding module dependencies' and then just stops the booting process. Has anyone any ideas on how to fix this?.

Well, I am a nOOB at linux. I have Red Hat 9. 0 and want to D/L Wolfenstein Enemy Territory but every time I D/L Wolf (in Windows) it pops up as a script first? Is it easier to D/L it in Linux (I assume so, since it is for Linux, lol) N.

httpd won't start in Red Hat 9

I can't get httpd to start in Red Hat 9. There is not error msg it just does not start. I installed Webmen and I can't connect to it either. I can browse the web and it talks to other pc's on the lan.

What's the deal with RAM ? I've D/L and burned 6 different distros. All of them said they required a minimum of 128M ram but they all install and run fast and smooth on my old pavilion 4550 with 96M.

irc client for linux

hi all im an old windows user, but i started using linux like 4 months back. works fine for me. my little problem is that most of my time passes on mirc, using it from a long time. right now in linux i am using 'xchat' as an irc client, but im not satisfied with its appearence/gui.
