Being a big Corvette fan, seeing the engine go into something that's less expensive (i. e. somethign I could afford before I'm a 60yr old CEO) is pretty cool. Seeing RWD V8s in general is nice, after a Fast & Furious fueled society of slow FWD 4cyl.

How Do I Install Lindows 4 on SATA Drive?

I have Lindows 4 and can't seem to install it on my SATA Hard Disk. I have a Abit NFS7 v2. 0 motherboard and can't find a driver for SATA so that my HD finds Lindows 4. .

Ok, Im looking around for a compatible version of linux with my Compaq Presario 1700 17XL565 (because I hate Microsoft quite a bit. . . ) Ive tried Mandrake 9. 2 kinda just blindly guessing, install went great, then I hit one error on the restart.

I use mandrake 9. 2 with KDE. However, I often cannot connect to www. The error message is: The connection was refused when attempting to contact XXXXXX. I don't have such a problem when I brower website by using IE in windows environment.

Hello, i am in deep trouble. i wanted to edit the login screen/gretter of gnome/kde. i made some changes in the gdm. conf file located in \etc\x11\gdm\. but, i forgot to make a backup, when i saved changes.

Hello everyone. I’m a new user to Linux. I installed Mandrake 9. 2 in my notebook. When I try to open with any application, the process speed is very very slow. It seemed to take forever to load up the application.

I have a Creative Labs Modem Blaster PCI, and recently I can't send any faxes out (used to be able to before). What happens is when the fax is about to be sent, the modem dials out, then the destination fax machine answers and the fax tones could be heard, but apparently my modem and the fax machine aren't talking ...

ISP connection problems

Hi all! I've managed to configure my modem and I can dial up using KPPP to my ISP. My problem is now when I open Mozilla and type in a URL (it can be anything) I get a screen from my ISP saying that there are problems logging on and I get told that my username and password are invalid.

I installed SUSE 9. 0 Pro on a Sony Vaio PCV-RZ32G. If I leave the computer alone for a couple minutes, the keyboard IO acts up like a key is stuck. For example, if I'm working in Ooo while typing something and leave to computer for a minute or two 'v's or other characters start to go across the document.
