accessing Winodws Drives while working in Mandrake

I am having truble getting Mandrake to let me see inside my d: dirve from my windows partition it is a NTFS format. It shows the drive and that it is mounted but will not let me acess it. Any help???.

Gentoo install problem

i was installing gentoo the other day and the install went well up to the point i had to install the boot grub and i had to make the. conf boot on the ex2 boot partition but i kept geting a read-only access when i was trying to write to the partition using nano.

( hello i'm newbie who wanted to trying using Linux. i'm using Maxtor Sata now. First i had enable my BIOS SaTa option and my boot sequence. now when i'm started to install linux fedora it tell me that my HDD device not found.

Hi there. Most of my LINUX stuff is going great. My only problem is that I can't get my Connexant (Yuk!) modem to work. Can anyone help? I'm new to LINUX so easy step by step instructions would be appreciated! Thanks, DBG.

Hello everyone, Still getting use to Linux, One thing thou I cant seem to find the Games or AMUSEMENT. I checked Game Station during installation, But cant find any. In the guide it said click on K button then go to amusement.

Can you recommend a good motherboard, preferrably integrated graphics, audio, LAN that Linux likes. It can be Intel as well, I am not stuck on AMD based, though I would prefer it. Particularly an nforce2 based IGP board because of the Nvidia drivers for Linux.

Problem With LG GSA 4040B DVD Burner

I'm having trouble with the LG GSA 4040B Dvd burner. The burner installs redhat 9 or Fedora 1, with no problem. It's when I get in the system the drive just doesn't show up in the fstab. Or if I try to mount it, it's just not there.
