Mandrake 9.0 Install problem on compaq presario 2100

Mandrake 9. 0 Install problem on compaq presario 2100 I have a laptop (Athlon 1600+ with ATI Radeon IGP 320 M). Im trying to install it from Hard disk. Everything seems to work fine until when it says Error:Unable to install package xxx.

At my home, i have two PC, Redhat 9 and XP The linux acts as an router and XP is connected to linux Although my XP can surf the internet, i cannot send file in icq. One of my friends tells me that he solves this problem by setting up vpn.

Hi, I have a usb bridge network. ifconfig usb0 192. 168. 0. 1 is ok. The cable is detected. Pub there's no ping between Linux and windows xp. Windows xp's ip is 192. 168. 0. 2. The cable works because the network works very well between windows xp and windows xp.

How can I share folders in LAN by Linux?

In our LAN, I use Linux Redhat8 and another use Windows2000. After I setup my IP address, my PC can communicate to each other PC by Web, FTP, Mail. But I don't know, how to share my folders (directorys) to other PC and vice-versa (like when you use Client Microsoft Network protocol in Windows LAN) Please help me!.

I am a frustrated XP user (now that's a redundancy) looking into switching to Linux. I do a lot of CD and VCD burning, and currently use Feurio and Nero. Can I continue to use my current versions under Linux, and if not, do these or other similar programs have versions specifically for Linux? Thanks.

Hi, i am new to Linux and would greatly appreciate some help with installing it. I have stated off with burning the boot. iso image. and have tried installing Linux with it. Booting into Linux is no problem.

Ok, I am not sure if my problem is with the grub. conf, but that is my guess. Let me say that I am a noob when it comes to Linux. Currently I am running Red Hat 9 and i just installed a 3com NIC and ran a make config to try to get it to work.

Well I will start off by saying I am a complete noob to Linux. Well anyways I was trying to get Half Life running under Linux and therefore I used WineX well anyways they wanted the latest drivers, xfree86 and glibc (oh ya naturally the latest linux kernal.

I think I have an integrated ati mach 64 on my old ibm aptiva 166 mhz. Can I remove that and put it in my new computer? If not, then what video card do you recommend that's the cheapest and mostly 2-dimensional office stuff in x windows?.

Greetings, SuSE9. 0Pro I've noticed that while rcacpid status : running , Within /etc/X11/XF86Config , within section Mod , there's no Load dri , so every time i try to enable 3D , i can get 3D to work succesfuly , but then something's wrong , as a *conflict* and the LID e/o BUTTON aint working no more.
