RedHat 9 installer does not recognize SATA drive

I can't seem to be able to get RedHat 9 to pick up the SATA drive upon installation. . . are there any boot disks/driver disks that will allow me to install RedHat 9 on this drive?!?! There has been some discussion about other SATA issues but I can't seem to find a solution to my problem.

I hava got a problem. I recently bought Athlon XP 2000 + 256 DDR333 + ASROCK k7s8x. The rest of my hardware I had. And I wanted to install linux mandrake. And when I do it I see when it checks hda for seven ( or eight times ), hdb, hdc, hdd.

Grub bootloader - Help!!

HI, I have Windows XP and Linux RedHat 9. 0 on my machine. When i power on the machine i only get Linux RH 9. 0 appear in Grub bootloader. How can i add Windows XP to the Boot list? Thank you Anthony.

hi, my linux(mandrake) can't boot on gui mode. i'm currently boot up on a command mode. i even try login as root in command mode and then type init 5. but it doesn't work. can anyone help me? ;(.

My kds monitor is not recognized by RedHat9. 0 during installation. I do not have the manual of the monitor and so I have no information about the monitor. I can not run Xconfigurator in text mode because I do not know the path (also rename) of Xconfigurator under RedHat 9.

ftp: no such tcp service - regular user

Basically i get this error when trying to use ftp with a regular user. If I'm root, ftp works fine. . . I've checked the permissions of the ftp binary, and everything looks fine. Just wondering if anybody has a solution, or where to try.

When i boot from CD-ROM, setup start but after 5 - 10 seconds i got a message that tells: I/O problems (or kind of) I can't handle with it! You may restart your system.
