Suse8.2 Install crashing

pete.morgan
Guys I am new to the linux O/S (years of working with, and becoming an expert at Windows), so after a bit of investigation I choose Suse8. 2 as my starting point. Unfortuanatley I dont seem to be getting very far, as the install process freezes up on me everytime (have tried all options off the install list).

Built-in gigabit ethernet not working

ballkula
Hi! I just bought an Abit IC7-G mobo (i875) with a 3. 0GHz P4. In WinXP the system runs fine, but after having installed Red Hat 9 there seem to be no support for the onboard Intel Pro/1000 CT ethernet adapter.

Since I have 4 months downtime between my next tests for MCSA, I was wondering if I should get my i-Net+? Shouldn't be hard though It will cost me 200 bucks. And I get a Free CIW credit for passing it Is i-Net+ worth it And is CIW worth anything? Thanks.

Interest Rate Cut

felix
Congrats to all my US friends who have house or car loans, with the interest rate cut, you can spend heaps more on technology (well maybe not that much really) but it should make life a little easier.

Question about Running Libraries on linux

dwinn
I've just successfully installed a library called CLHEP. However, there doesn't seem to be any sort of executible file and I became very confused. How does one open a library on the linux terminal? Thank you.

Gator - NT Compatible - What Are You Thinking?!!?

Jedi Master
;( ;( Ever time I visit NT Compatible, I get a nice popup asking if I want to install Gator. Why are you promoting spyware? I used to think highly of NT Compatible, but if this continues, I will have to remove your website.

Joining a Phone Line Network System

esevin
I have a dual boot Linux (Red Hat 7. 2) - Win98SE setup. On the Windows side, the machine is a client of an Intel AnyPoint phone line networking system that shares a DSL connection (and files among the other windows client machines).

Velvet Revolver

ViolentGreen
Anyone heard about these guys? Basically they are Guns N Roses minus that little b!tch Axel and with Scott Weiland singing. They have a song out that was on the hulk soundtrack called Set Me Free and a cover of Pink Floyd's Money.
