UT 2003 feels like Quake 3.....I think NOT!

Over at Bjorn3d. com they think UT 2003 was a slight disappointment, which I agree, and they say this because the game feels like Quake 3. Quake 3 is better than UT and UT 2003 because it requires SKILL.

what is a .diff file?

Hi, I'm trying to patch my kernel to get acpi to work on my comaq notebook and i had to download three kernel patch files. one was in tar. gz format and two were in diff. gz I know how to work the tarballs, But after I unzip the diff.

CD Emulator

I currently use CloneCD/Alcohol (moving over to Alcohol currently) to mount my CD Images. You see I used to have a duplicate CD case for every one of my Applications/Games. Eventually I gave that up and started moving the duplicated to CD Images on External USB/Firewire enclosures.

Can't run wine in redhat 9

I installed wine in redhat 9. 0 in source, rpm (whit 4 verions of the rh8 packet) but when i go tu run the wine alway say this error wine: chdir to /tmp/. wine-root/server-342-1c69e : No such file or directory If a create the carpet, after i look this error wine: chdir to /tmp/.

cs student needs advice

Im about 3/4 of the way thru college and am starting to get a little nervous. I am off for summer and am wondering what I should study this summer. I am getting the info systems cs degree instead of programming but it is basically the same thing except it does not require the hard math classes.
