Hi, Just bought suse linux pro 7. 2 but am having probs installing it. YaST2 has succesfully installed everything but it gets stuck on define what model monitor you have. I'm installing it on a samsung laptop and dont know which1 to choose.

(yes, all three of us), is there a way that we can have new posts show up on both of them without having one forum affect the other? If I go to LinuxComp, then come here, all my posts show up as having been seen even if there were new ones that I haven't looked at yet.

at first my english is horrible and my keyboard`s space-key is going do be die ;o) second Yesterday i`ve downlaoded rh8 because i hoped to get a linux thats easy to use. Today i`ve installed it and what do i see? my soundcard(C-Media) wasnt found also one of my networkcards (3Com).

Well, this is going to be an on-going post First of all, I'm posting from Windows now, which should give you the tone for this post I cannot seem to get the NICs to work in MD9. 0, it drives me nuts, i KNOW it's ETH0 i need to use for my PPpoE connection.

Gnometoaster doesn't see my Plextor burner

Does anyone have any suggestions for a cd burner app that can use my Plextor 40x24x40 burner? When I open the app, there are no recorders listed to select from, so I am assuming that it doesn't see it properly.

Bug in RH8, or Unreal Tournament 2003?

I was installing RH8 on my main system, and when I got to installing UT2003 I ran into something unusual. The system would scan *every* drive and try to mount all of them while copying files during the installation process.

RH 8.0 Hangs when selecting hdisk during installation!

When install RH 8. 0, during select partision section, the RH always hang and can't go to next step! Anyone can help me, many thanks. BTW, I use two hdisk : /dev/hda > winxp; /dev/hb1 > win2000; /dev/hdb2 > plan to install RH 8.

Look in your UT 2003 SYSTEM directory and run BENCHMARK. EXE It seems that Benchmark. exe set's your UT2003. ini to defaults, so modifying it or changing your UT2003 settings will have no affect.
