Ubuntu Gamer posted a guide about installing Steam on Linux
Steam is a digital distribution and multi-player platform created by Half Life creators Valve. Since its inception back in 2003 it has grown in popularity and holds a huge market in digital distribution for PC gaming. Unfortunately for Linux users this fabulous program hasn't got a Linux native build, but not to worry it is possible to run this killer app with the use of the invaluable program Wine. Here is a how-to for anyone who doesn't know.
