What driver did you add the USB IDs for? Using the latest Jef Moine's latest repository, I tried ov534.c with 06f8:3008 and driver_info = SENSOR_OV965X, but had no luck.

I had some success with the "GSPCA driver V4L version 2" from http://linuxtv.org/hg/~jfrancois/gspca/. (I only inserted the pid & vid of this cam).
Using Jef Moine's svv http://moinejf.free.fr/svv.c as viewer i got a good picture with slightly red tint.
No other application working right now.
I'll keep on working on it.

Hercules' support told me the chipset is an Omnivision OV530 and gave me some links to tutos, but no way. It doesn't work at all. I sent an e-mail to Omnivision but I don't expect anything.
If you have such a problem, please send an e-mail to Hercules, they have to know that their webcam doesn't work for everyone :-(

the older "deluxe" does work with the ov51x_jpeg driver, but not this new model "optical glass" P/N 5059846. I did not find a driver for this one yet, not even an information about which chip is inside. :-(

lsusb tells me "06f8:3008 Guillemot Corp.". It is said that this cam is ov51x based and should work with the ov51x-jpeg driver, but I had no luck.
