The card I have is equipped with i82557 controller. Sometimes it does not get interrupt assigned in the boot. Also, it seems to create quite bad stability issues on my ASUS P5GD2 motherboard (i915P chipset) with certain other peripherals. Namely, Promise Ultra133 TX2 (PDC 20269) and Hauppauge WinTV card (BT878). Tested on e100 driver and kernel version 2.6.12-gentoo-r8. The stability issues show themselves as random halts.
