I installed this network card under Ubuntu 8.04. This is an ISA card. Ubuntu did not automatically detect this. It worked after adding the line
"alias eth0 ne" (loading the driver ne)
to the file "/etc/modprobe.d/aliases". Don't add the additional line "options ne io=0x300" that you sometimes see as a recommendation! It didn't work with this, only without it.
