Based on GeForce4 MX 440. I have used SuSE 8.0 and the result is that it works magnificently, but the installation process is not exactly "plug & play". YAST2 is not able to recognize this video adapter. To configure the card you must use the "Screen configuration for XFree86 version 4", also known as SaX2. It is adviseable to do that configuration step after having updated the NVIDIA kernel driver and the NVIDIA GLX driver (currently available only for SuSE). I used the following packages: NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-3123.suse80.i386.rpm NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-3123.suse80.i386.rpm You can download them from www.nvidia.com Tip for SuSE: if you install the NVIDIA kernel driver and GLX driver provided with the distribution CDs and then launch the YAST on-line update, you will get those two packages (or even newer versions) directly from SuSE. Warning for manual install: Read the README before installing those packages, you have to install them with a run-level without X-server AND you must delete the GLX driver by hand if it is installed and too old (the uninst script of old GLX packages are wrong and this may affect the installation of update GLX drivers)
