Zen Browser 1.17.9b released
A new update has landed for Zen Browser 1.17.9b, bringing some welcome improvements to this minimalist browsing experience.
The latest build for Zen Browser has arrived, and it brings some welcome upgrades to our favorite minimalist browser. One neat addition is this notification that pops up after you upgrade, which is a little confirmation message, really. It adds just a touch more polish to the whole experience and makes sense because there are settings in about:config, like zen.updates.show-update-notification, that let you tweak whether it shows at all.
Speaking of welcome changes, another thing worth noting is that two specific bugs have been squashed. Folders can finally remember your name and icon tweaks properly, even if you restart the browser, which should definitely make organizing things somewhat smoother for those who like keeping their bookmarks tidy or whatever system they prefer clear in Zen's simple interface.
Also, there was that annoying thing where activating 'glance' mode would sometimes happen unexpectedly when using alt+click on links. That bug has been taken care of too, so you can now safely select tabs without worrying about a sudden glance activation.
Honestly, these are just subtle refinements for 1.17.9b, which are small but helpful adjustments that make Zen feel even better day-to-day.
