Zen Browser 1.17.15b released

There’s an update for Zen Browser now, 1.17.15b, and it's based on Firefox 146.0.1 underneath. That change alone probably brings along some performance tweaks and bug fixes.

One neat thing is that this version adds support for Norwegian Bokmål (nb-NO), Slovak, Romanian, and more languages. Hopefully, this just makes things smoother for anyone using the browser who needs it in their own tongue.

But fixing stuff isn't all about new features; there are also some long-awaited bug fixes. The developers implemented a fix for fingerprinting protection that was messing up font rendering on certain websites before. That might have been causing annoying display issues, like seeing text look wrong even if you thought you were viewing it correctly.

Plus, the team has tackled several stability points in this release. Some crashes connected to graphics and accessibility features should now be sorted out, making the whole experience less jarring for users.

On another note, there's a fix related to opening links from external apps; situations where it just wouldn't work right and open a new tab sometimes would fail. And separately, they've fixed an issue with the 'Create new split' command not functioning properly when you trigger it through the command bar shortcut or menu item.
