One big change people might want to check out right away is a brand new audio mixer. Alongside this fresh mixer, there's also an improved Add Source dialog; things like configuring audio should feel less clunky and more straightforward than before.

If you're into live streaming or video calls using WebRTC, Sean-Der has brought us Simulcast Support in this build. It could potentially make multi-audio stream setups cleaner for users interested in that tech.

Scene management gets a boost too: the ability to undo/redo scene actions should now be back where it belongs. And if you've been waiting, there are more advanced filtering options built in this time, covering aspects like scale filtering, blending mode/method, and deinterlacing modes, including field order.

Beyond the big feature additions, some UI tweaks might make a difference: source names no longer include "Source." Also check out the updated Edit Transform dialog. For those working with scenes, copying scene items now attempts to preserve everything, not just the basics but also all the properties you've set.

Looking at performance and visual tweaks: dock animations have been turned off completely, which might eliminate some unnecessary screen flicker or distraction during use. Default dock positions have also been rearranged for better organization of your OBS space. And there's a subtle improvement in media playback sliders, contributing to smoother video viewing overall, alongside changes in the Light theme mixer palette and default bitrates.

Bug fixes continue to roll out: sync problems between preview/program size settings and positioning have been addressed. The OBSBasic::Save function for frontend canvas scenes/groups likely enhances performance, and it may address some HEVC caption issues associated with specific types or SEIs.
