ML4W Dotfiles for Hyprland 2.9.9.5 released
The ML4W Dotfiles project has unveiled a new update. This latest iteration brings numerous tweaks and additions aimed at boosting efficiency on Linux desktop setups. It includes several changes focused on making things smoother and more efficient within your Linux desktop setup.
One important adjustment is related to window rules. Users with Hyprland versions from 0.53 onward will need to update their configuration syntax in these dotfiles for everything to work properly after installing this new release.
There's also a change involving the wallpaper engine. If you've been using waypaper, you'll now see that swww has become the preferred choice within the ML4W dotfiles theme structure. Switching over is recommended as part of updating your configuration; it might help prevent conflicts with newer features like window rules during the update itself.
And speaking of themes, a fresh new option called "Glass Center" has been added to the global selection. This theme aims for a clean look and incorporates modern aesthetics familiar from other projects.
For Fedora users specifically, the Dotfiles project now integrates swww directly instead of relying on copr (Community Package Repository) for Hyprland. If you're running this new version and using Fedora, please re-run the setup script with the provided installer to get everything configured correctly according to these changes.
This latest release also brings a specific tweak related to Waybar, positioning the workspace selector right in the middle of the screen within this "Glass Center" theme. It’s another step towards refining the desktop experience.
