Mesa 26.0.0 Release Candidate 1 released
Mesa started its latest development cycle with the release of 26.0.0-rc1. This is essentially the first test build heading toward what could be an upcoming major update.
People familiar with the project probably already know they should check things thoroughly before reporting bugs to the Mesa team via their issue tracker. That's where you'd share any problems if they come up, which is crucial for getting a successful release out.
There's also an official critical issues milestone listed here. If something major needs to be fixed before the final version comes out, it should probably go on that list too.
According to the announcement schedule, another Mesa release candidate will follow in just a week, on January 28th. That gives everyone about seven days until the next test build is available.
