Goverlay 1.7.1 released
Goverlay 1.7.1 has been released. This is a small update for the Goverley tool that allows you to configure MangoHud, vkBasalt, and OptiScaler.
This update brings some new features to MangoHud. You can now show your RAM temperature if you enable the ram_temp checkbox; it helps out specifically with DDR5 setups using spd5118 drivers. There's also a fex_stats option to verify for FEX-Emu stats, similar to the old way of doing things but cleaner.
The developers updated MangoHud's time display handling too. The legacy time# settings are gone; now you just have time or time_no_label options instead.
On the other hand, OptiScaler has received fixes for issues related to GPU vendor spoofing and the Dxgi= line in its configuration file. Edge detection for bleeding-edge builds was improved, favoring newer tags over older ones when necessary. And crucially, winmm.dll should now properly show up in the filename dropdown, making it easier to pick your OptiScaler DLL.
To make things smoother, they added checkbox dependencies in Goverlay. So if you enable a specific temperature monitor, say GPU temp, it will automatically handle its related average load setting for you. There is also a similar connection between the CPU temperature and average load options in another section of the application.
Beyond the features, this release includes a few bug fixes. Some old, unused pci_dev stuff has been cleaned up from MangoHud's config output. And they improved OptiScaler's installation so it keeps your existing fgmod files instead of trying to overwrite them unnecessarily.
Finally, behind the scenes, our build process got a refresh with better automation and improved versioning controls, simplifying maintenance tasks overall.
