Goverlay 1.6.9 released
A new version of Goverlay is out for everyone.
The main thing this update tackles involves Flatpak compatibility. There are some fixes aimed squarely at issues related to runtime detection within Flatpak environments. Basically, they fixed situations where either MangoHud or vkBasalt wasn't being recognized correctly; sometimes the software would incorrectly say these runtimes were missing even when they were present.
Then there's work on testing integration for those effects inside pascube and vkcube environments (the ones used to build Flatpaks). Goverlay now prefers pascube for its tests, but will automatically fall back to using vkcube if that specific environment isn't available. This makes the overall MangoHud/vkBasalt overlay detection smoother.
Another change is a simpler way to use both GPUs on your system if you have multiple graphics cards or processors. Before, managing this might have been trickier; now there's a more straightforward configuration option for it. Goverlay also improved how it handles gpu_list settings, again, making things easier for users with multiple GPUs.
And finally, proper Wayland support is included when using Goverlay via Flatpak and working within a Wayland session. This means smoother integration with the desktop environment in those setups too, thanks to vkcube-wayland handling being updated inside Goverlay itself.
These adjustments don't add anything revolutionary, but they do help Goverlay function better in specific situations, particularly for users relying on Flatpak runtimes like MangoHud or vkBasalt.
