Goverlay has been updated to version 1.6.4, which includes a useful new feature: FSR management. This allows users to easily switch between different versions of FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) using a dropdown menu, making it easier to experiment with the latest AI-enhanced version if supported or stick with an older version that works better on certain graphics cards. The update also includes behind-the-scenes improvements, such as automatic verification of necessary folders and setting up OptiScaler during updates, and ensuring settings are properly saved after each change.

Goverlay 1.6.4 released

Goverlay just got an update; version 1.6.4 is now out. It's not huge, but it does include one really nice feature: FSR management.

Goverlay can now handle different versions of FSR for you. Maybe you want to try the latest AI stuff if your game and graphics card support RDNA4, or maybe sticking with an older version that works better on other cards (like those supporting RDNA2/3) is your thing. Before, you had to manage the files yourself; now Goverlay offers a dropdown menu specifically for picking which FSR variant to use.

There's also some nice behind-the-scenes stuff improving things in the background: it will automatically verify that necessary folders exist and even set up OptiScaler if needed during updates. And your settings stick around, properly saved so you don't have to reconfigure everything every time.

On the fixing front, user @LuanVSO caught something that had slipped back into the code, a regression bug, and fixed it via pull request #222. That's always welcome help from community members like him who keep things running smoothly.

Speaking of settings sticking around properly... if you're using OBS alongside Goverlay, there's one thing to remember for this new version: deleting your old FGMOD folder and reinstalling the update is recommended to avoid any potential hiccups with OBS.
