Goverlay 1.6.3 released
Goverlay 1.6.3 has landed as another small update for MangoHud, vkBasalt, and OptiScaler, which mainly tackles bugs and adds new features, especially focused on improving things for Steam Deck users.
A key part of this latest release is the ability to save preset profiles right there on your Steam Deck. With four dedicated slots in Goverlay itself (not in an external config), you can now store different performance setups and easily switch between them during gaming sessions.
There are also some helpful behind-the-scenes changes mostly centered around bug fixes. LuanVSO did a good job fixing up the FPS cap offset calculations, which helps prevent slowdowns or stuttering sometimes seen on handhelds like the Steam Deck. For vkBasalt users specifically, detection has been improved with better library lookups and JSON config support.
Separately, apps marked as blacklisted in your system settings will now show up properly in Goverlay's context menu instead of being hidden away. This just makes things a bit cleaner for everyone who manages their overlay options.
These tweaks help smooth out the experience overall. The update keeps Goverlay focused on getting better and offering more useful tools to players across different setups.
