Dev snapshot: Godot 4.5 beta 5
The weekly pace of beta snapshots returns with a bang! While the overall number of changes might be smaller, that’s simply a logical consequence of a much tighter scope on what can be integrated at this stage, with even generic bugfixes given a higher scrutiny. Regression fixes are our number one priority as we grow closer to the end of the beta period, and our contributors have been putting in the work to make that happen; shoutouts to everyone who’s lent a hand!

The fifth beta release of Godot 4.5 been released, emphasizing regression fixes as the beta period nears its conclusion. The release features enhancements in the Web, XR, and Android editors, along with bug fixes and upgrades to the audio and video components. The main updates since beta 4 include changing the name of Camera2D, fixing the missing 3D gizmos, making sure threads only manage one pump task, and correcting translation remaps that were wrongly resetting.
