Fractal 13 Release Candidate released
The release candidate for Fractal 13 is now available for testing purposes. This Matrix messaging app, written in Rust, is specifically designed to facilitate seamless collaboration among large groups - a feature that will undoubtedly benefit the open-source community and other collective projects.
When it comes to interacting with others within the platform, users can effortlessly discover rooms dedicated to their favorite topics or engage in private conversations with individuals, all while enjoying the robust security features of end-to-end encryption. The messaging app also provides a range of convenient tools, including the ability to send richly formatted messages, files, and even current locations.
To enhance engagement within conversations, users can reply to specific messages, express themselves through emojis, edit or remove messages as needed, and view images directly from within the chat window without having to open an external application. Furthermore, Fractal 13 supports multimedia content by allowing users to play audio and video files within the conversation.
Additionally, the app offers a range of features that promote real-time communication and transparency, such as seeing which messages have been read and who is currently typing in the conversation. This level of awareness creates a welcoming environment and helps maintain efficient communication among group members.
One of the most exciting aspects of Fractal 13 is its support for Single-Sign On (SSO), making it possible for users to log into multiple accounts simultaneously, streamlining their workflow and minimizing the need to constantly switch between different accounts. This level of convenience is especially beneficial for professionals who manage multiple projects or have multiple roles within an organization.
Fractal 13.RC released
Ah, Autumn… The trees are wearing their warmest colors, the wine harvest is ending, developers are preparing to hibernate… and Fractal 13.rc is here! Our repository has been relatively quiet since the beta release, with mostly work on bug fixes for our new audio player, and a bit of code refactoring.
