Bazzite Linux 43.20260126 released

A new release of Bazzite Linux is available, with numerous updates and improvements. The latest version, 43.20260126, has been released following the previous stable version, 43.20260120.1.

Digging into what changed: there's a fresh kernel package now, bumping to 6.17.7-ba25, plus various firmware bits updated, including firmware at version 20260110-1 and Mesa grabbing the latest at 25.3.3-2.

The Bazaar application got a point update to v0.7.5-1, while Ptyxis has been revised up to version 49.2-1. Desktop lovers should also check out Gnome's core component, which is now at 49.3-1.bazzite and KDE reached their latest version at 6.5.5-1.

For those rocking Nvidia graphics cards, the drivers received an update too, hitting version 590.48.01-1 if you're using non-LTS versions of Bazzite Linux, or 580.95.05-1 for LTS users.

Looking at the commit logs paints a picture of steady progress and fixes from many hands. Highlights include Tulip Blossom tackling issues with xdg-terminal-exec, Xarishark adding Brew support for several apps on the Bazzite Portal, and jbrumder getting audio profiles squared away in GPD.

The update touches on dependency management and system stability too. Kyle Gospodnetich's contributions stand out, like bringing back fw-tools after a brief test removal and nudging PipeWire up to version 1.4.10.

On the package front, things are moving across multiple repositories. For instance, xdg-terminal-exec is now at 0.14.1-1. Sunshine saw a jump from version 2026.118.19373 (old) to 2026.125.19144 (new). Other noteworthy upgrades cover alsa-sof-firmware, at-spi2-atk, and vte-profile.

KDE's assimp package got a refresh too, going to version 6.0.3-1, while FreeRDP now sits at 3.21.0-1. Gnome users might also be interested in the updates hitting mutter (version 49.3-1.bazzite) and rygel (upped to 45.1-1).

So how do you get this? Updating your existing Bazzite Linux setup is straightforward using the bazzite-rollback-helper command line tool.
