Bazzite Linux 43.20260120.1 released
Bazzite Linux has rolled out its latest version, 43.20260120.1, bringing a couple of updates. The core system packages saw action: the kernel is now at 6.17.7-ba25, and firmware has reached version 20260110-1. But it wasn't just those; the graphics library Mesa got a new ride too, landing on 25.3.3-2.
Beyond what's already in Bazzite itself, two major software components also moved to newer versions: Bazaar jumped to 0.7.5-1, and Ptyxis now runs at version 49.2-1. Then there are the desktop environments; both GNOME and KDE have gotten updates as well.
And since gaming often requires top-notch graphics performance, it makes sense that the drivers got a look-in too. Specifically, the Nvidia graphics package has been updated to 590.48.01-1, while the Nvidia LTS driver is now at 580.95.05-1.
On the audio side, there's news for PipeWire users as well. This popular sound system has seen a boost across all Bazzite images; it's been upgraded to version 1.4.10-1.bazzite. Plus, Deck Images has received its own update package, bringing pipewire-module-filter-chain-lv2 along with it.
So, this is more than just another routine update. If you're keen on trying out Bazzite Linux or updating your existing system to get those gaming tweaks and other improvements, here's how you can rebase:
If you want the latest general version of Bazzite (the main branch), fire up your terminal and run: bazzite-rollback-helper rebase stable
But if you're using a specific image that targets certain hardware or configurations, you'll need to target that one directly. In that case, use this command instead: bazzite-rollback-helper rebase 43.20260120.1
You can also grab the actual Bazzite Linux ISO files straight from their main website.
