AMD has announced the release of ROCm 6.3.0, the latest version of its advanced generative AI and large language model server. The update features the rocJPEG library, a high-performance JPEG decoding SDK designed for AMD GPUs. The ROCm Compute Profiler and ROCm Systems Profiler have undergone a renaming to align with their updated focus within the ROCm software stack. The SHARK AI toolkit for high-speed inferencing and serving has been introduced, featuring support for the Stable Diffusion XL model on AMD Instinct:tm:MI300 devices.

ROCm 6.3.0 introduces support for PyTorch 2.4, enabling the Transformer Engine to optionally choose a flexible and optimized Attention solution for AMD GPUs. The hipStreamLegacy API has been integrated, serving as the equivalent to NVIDIA cudaStreamLegacy.
