Manjaro Linux 25.0 Zetar has been released and features numerous updates to the GNOME 48 series. The recent updates encompass enhancements such as stacking to the notification list, dynamic triple buffering, the introduction of a new battery life option, and support for HDR on system-level displays. The Plasma edition includes the most recent Plasma 6.3 series, Frameworks 6.12, and KDE Gear 24.12. Plasma 6.3 introduces a comprehensive enhancement of fractional scaling, improved color accuracy, and refined CPU usage monitoring.
The XFCE edition features Xfce 4.18, which introduces a new file highlighting capability, allows for panel length configuration in pixels, and includes an option to keep the panel above windows. The control center consolidates all desktop modules into a single, user-friendly interface, featuring enhanced options for system management. This release utilizes Kernel 6.12, while kernel versions 6.6 LTS and 6.1 LTS provide supplementary support for legacy hardware as required.
